With reference to correspondence ending

with Viscount Harcourt's Confidential Despatch of the 7th, of August, 1913, on the subject of the Second Section of the Tytam Tuk Waterworks Scheme, I have now the honour to report that I commemorated on the 2nd. ultimo the completion of the great dam at Tytam Tuk by laying a Memorial Stone in the presence of a large number of local residents and visitors to the Colony.

2.

I enclose a copy of the speech made by the Director of Public Works which contains interesting facts regarding the Waterworks of the Colony and particulars of this Reservoir, the latest and largest addition to them; together with a set of photographs showing the dam under construction and completed.

I also endose copy of a minute by Mr.......

Jaffe, Special Engineer-in-charge, on the subject of the coat of dam and contingent works.

3.

It is worthy of note that this great work,

so successfully completed, has been carried out entirely departmentally without the advice and assistance of a Con- -sulting Engineer, a fact which I trust you will agree with me

reflects

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

WALTER LONG, M.P.,
