Enclosure 1.

Hon. Clonial Secretary,

I regret to state for His Excellency's information that on handing over stock of stamps in custody of Treasurer there was found deficient 5 sheets of $1 stamps nom. value $300.

I suggest that the matter be postponed till the end of the year as something may tum up in the way of amending the apparent error.

11th. April, 1917.

($4.) A. M. Thomson,

Treasurer.

As when taking from the safe I would

count
