I have the honour to inform you that I
have had to dismiss Lance-Sergeant B. McAuley of the Police
Force in this Colony on account of drunkenness and being un-
-fit for duty.
Mr. McAuley who was a seaman on H.M.S,
"Monmouth" joined the Police Force in 1913 locally but on his undertaking to join His Majesty's Forces I authorised his passage to England being paid from Colonial Funds.
He left the Colony on board the 8. S.
"Mishima. Maru" which left Hongkong on the 25th. January last, his passport being endorsed to the effect that he was traveli- -ing to England for the purpose of joining His Majesty's Forces and I shall be glad if the Military Authorities may be
informed accordingly.
I have the homur to be,
