had been patched, to be replaced by a new one, auch

(5). Trials of the whole plant to be postponed until the No.4

efficiency of the plant under their Contract to remain

(6). All charges incurred by the Dovemment for the upkeep of

the No. 4 engine to ba úøfrayed by zosare. Janse Pianron

& Co. until it had been put into running condition.

Mr. Norman wrote me on the 20th of December accerting

these conditions with the exception of condition No. A which

he desired to leave in abeyance until he had roprosented the

metter to his principale as they might profer to make cont

other arrangement with regard to the low-preerurs cvlinder.

To view of the considerable delay which has taken pleca

in the ersation of thees enginee I think that the opinion of the Consulting Erigineer, Hr. William Fairley, K.Inɛt.C.F., should be asked as to the propriety of claiming coarenration

under the Contract.
