Tramway (Hongkong South) Ordinance.
With reference to my letter of the
18th. October last I beg to remind you that I have not yet received a reply and shall be obliged if you will havs the matter attended to at your earliest convenience.
With referance to the proposed terminus
of the Tramway in Wong si chong Valley I understand that you have recently seen the Director of Public Works on the question of altering the site of the terminus proposed by
you.
I enclose a plan showing at the point "A" the place where it is proposed the terminus should be and as I understand that you consider it necessary to con- -sult some interested parties in England I am instructed to inform you that His Excellency the Governor is prepared to allow you two months from this date in which to obtain a
reply which you can arrange to be by Telegraph.
I am instructed to call your attention
to the fact that the agreement the terms of which have al-

-ready been agreed by you has not yet been signed mi it will be necessary that this should be done so soon as you
receive the reply above referred to.
