I have the honour to inform you that Dr.
V. V. M. Koch, Superintendent, Civil Hospital, retired from
the Service of this Government with effect from the 30th.
October last, having attained the age of 55 years on the 29th.

I endlose the usual form of particulars
regarding Dr. Koch's service in Hongkong, and I shall be glad if his total pension and the proportion payable by this Colony may be calculated.
3.
Dr. Koch is continuing to reside in the
Colony, and, pending your decision as to the pension I havə
sanctioned a monthly grant of £15 .15 0.
