With reference to the letter from
this Department of the 19th October last, I
am directed by Mr. Secretary Long to transmit
to you, to be laid before the Shipping
Controller copy of a telegram from the
Governor-Generad of Hong Kong with regard to
the requisitioning of vessels engaged in
the China trade.
2. Mr.Long would be glad to learn
what reply should be returned to the
Governor's questions.
