Sir,
I have the honour to infom you that in
November last Er. Severn approved of an exchange of land which requires your covering authority as the transaction involves the disposal of a piece of land without auction.
2.
The circumstances are as follows:- The owner of Section A of Farm Lot No. 22 on the Shaukiwan Road contain- ing in ares of about 27,850 square feet enquired in the year 1914 on what terms the conversion of the lot into a building lot could be permitted, but it was difficult to come to terms as the proposed diversion of the road as shown in plan A (Enclosure 1) is still in abeyance. The omer of the lot, therefore, applied in October last to be allowed to exchange Section A of Farm Lot No. 22 for a building lot in Kowloo adjoining Kowloon Inland Lot 1287 which also belongs to him, Section A of Farm Lot No. 22 is held on a 75 years' lesse
commencing from the 8th March, 1858, at a Crom rent of 83.20
per annum, thus having about 15 years to run.
3.
The Director of Public Works recommended that
in exchange for Section A of Farm Lot No. 22 an area in Kowloon coloured red on plan B (Enclosure 2) should be granted containing about 15,310 square feet on the following terms:-
(a) Section A of F. L. 22 to be surrendered when requir-
ed by the Land Officer.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
WALTER LONG, M.P.,
