With reference to my Despatch No. 77 of
the 8th. March, I have the honour to recommend that a bonus
at the rate of £10 a month in respect of the year 1917 be granted to Commander C. W. Beckwith, Acting Harbour Master,
who has during that period performed the greater part of the
duties of Assistant Harbour Master in addition to his own
work.
As previously mentioned in the last para-
-graph of my despatch under reference there is at present a
saving of £500 per annum in the personal emoluments of the
Department.
