General Henderson's resolution need not be embarrassed by
doubts on this point.
With regard to that resolution, I note that it
is stipulated that the alternative offer of £200 monthly
to the funds of the Hospital will only be acceptable
without conditions. I may say that the offer is still
opeḥ, but I take it that it is not proposed to withdraw
the name of the Colony from the principal ward of the
parent Hospital.
This offer of £200 a month was
intended as a compromise and I hope the Committee will
agree that the acceptance of it would entitle the Colony
to expect that this one out of the three conditions
originally named would continue to be observed.
