Conservative Club,
587
St. James Street, S.W,
Dear Sir,
10th November, 1916.
With reference to my letter of yesterday, in
order that expenditure on the Extension may be shown
separately from the expenditure at Bryanston Square, not
only should the stores of the one be kept separately from
Major
those of the other, but also the paid staffs.
Atkinson and myself assums that this is understood.
I take the opportunity of saying that, in view
of the Committee's decision that there shall be only one
lady superintendent over the Hospital as a whole, we regard
the appointment of a qualified matron to the Extension as
a matter of primary importance.
We consider that opportunity should, by due
notice, be given to the members of the Executive Committee
thoroughly to discuss the fitness of candidates for the
post, and we desire to be assured that this would be the
course adopted before any steps are taken to fill it.
