That expenditure upon the proposed Extension
of the Royal Flying Corps Hospital shall be re-
gulated according to the funds made available by
the Hongkong War Charities Committee, it being
understood that out of their total annual
contribution to the Royal Flying Corps Hospital
not less than seventy five per cent to eighty per
cent shall be expended on the Extension.
That in the first instance the Extension
shall be equipped to accommodate twenty five
patients but that it shall be within the discre-
tion of this Committee either to restrict admission
to twenty patients or to raise the number to as
many as may from time to time seem justified by
the state of the funds.
That the Royal Flying Corps Hospital Accounts
shall be kept in such a way as to display the
outgoings for equipment, maintenance and adminis-
tration of the Extension separately from the
outgoings at No. 37 Bryanston Square and the
Convalescent Homes.
Subsequently it was found impossible to
obtain the lease of No. 19 Stratford Place on terms satis-
factory to us. It was now over four months since the
undertaking had been given to find accommodation for the
Extension "as soon as your contribution was assured", and
we considered that our duty was to refer the whole matter
