would like Mr Patterson to have an opportunity afforded
him on waiting on your Department.
I would also like the Alliance to have an opportunity of submitting the following matters for consideration:-
1. The inclusion of hides and skins not bearing hair or wool in our arrangements.
2. Facilities for exporting these commodities (as well as skins of sheep and goats with hair or wool on them) from the East African Protectorates including Aden. As shipments via the United Kingdon are no longer permitted the trades interested in the United States would like to be helped in the matter of shipping facilities either for direct shipment or, if the Union Goverment permit, via South Africa. We are not without hope that the Ministry of Shipping may be able with the assistance of your Department to help us.
3. Shipments of Australian Wool via Vancouver, The Alliance would like to have permission to use vessels plying to Vancouver if and when space offers after satisfying the requirements of the Canadian and Australian Authorities.
4. Should the Authorities purchase wool in South Africa the Alliance would, subject to certain reservations which can be mentioned in conference, wish American traders who have purchased to be permitted to carry through their purchases.
5. Representation of the Alliance and similar Alliances, Representation of the Alliance in Singapore and Hongkong.
