I have your letter of the 31st January with regard to the Hong Kong business. We have not yet received any reply from the Govemor I wrote to him on the 5th December and, with the present slowesa of com.amicstions, there has hardly yet been time for a reply, but I will be are not to overlook the matter and if
I do not hear anything soon I will rewind the Governor.
