The Shanghai letter speaks of the Tragsmarina having veen started at Amsterdam, and writers state that Van de Star is to be Manager of the Hongkong branch, They are afraid one of their present employees, Te Weonel, will join Fan de Star, and he knows so auch of their business that he would be very helpful to these competitors. In writers' reply they state that they have no fear of the competition of the Transmarine, which is founded by the Rotterdansche Bankvereeniging, because though the manage sent in Holland is possibly in the hands of clever people, they are without experience in the China trade.
