April. nurios de Bumsen's letter of the 11th,/1517, 1 mm dirwuħed by the Secretary of State for lodia to enclose for the information of the Jeeretary of State for Vereign Affairs, a copy of letters dated the 13th naad 25th April from the ar Trade Department on the subject of the prohibition of the export of arua nød mummition from the United Finṇdom to certain neutral destinations in the Par`ast.
A copy of the letter from the Colonial ffice dated the 26th Jammiy, 1917, on the same subject has been forwarded firmat to the Foreign
ffice.
It will be observed that it has now been definitely decided that, sa a goveral rule, no expert'lidanses will be eranted for the export of news vand summition from the Inited Kingdom whether for sporting purposes or otherwise, save in exceptional cases, and that the tar Trade Jepartment concur in the mapeation put forward in the 3rd paragraph of nợ letter of 20th April that an impublished rule should be laid down that no application for permission to export arms or mmmmition of any description from the "nited Kinesiou le neutral destinations in the far zast will be considered in the absence of a regsumendation from the British conular
suthorities concerned.
