#81017-45-A addressed to the United States Ambassador by

Viscount Grey of Fallodon.

If the shipments in question were made by us, we should

like to know how Mr. Spilman could have arna and ammunition

concealed at Hongkong in cases shipped on a through B/L to

Bangkok by/which were in the quatody of the steamship company.

It may be that some other shipment made to Mr. Spilman has been confused with some of our shipments and we would be glad

to get the facts together with the papers enclosed withour

letter of July 31st, which we understand were forwarded to the

American Ambassador at London.
