Referring to your letter of the 26th of October

I an directed to state that permission has been given for the shipment to Bangkok of the condensed milk con- signed to the American Mission. It is understood,

however, that the Shipping Company propose to refer the matter to the shippers before they forward the con-

signment.

2, I may refer you in this connection to Mr. Severn's

letter of the 6th January last. This Government is

detaining two cases, each containing a sporting gun

and also the ammunition and ammunition, which was concealed in the case of con-

densed milk.
