With reference to the semi-official letter which
we addressed to your department on the 15th November
respecting the bonus of 5/6 received by Commander B.R.H.
Taylour R.F., I have the honour to enclose for the
information of the Secretary of State a copy of a l
that we have received from the Admiralty wherein it is
suggested that the circumstances under which the above:
officer and Commander F.S.Rising R.N., (Second class
District Officer Nigeria) received bonuses in lurp se
of £229.7.0 and £210.10.6 respectively for periods up to
the 3rd August last, are such as to justify application
being made to the Treasury for the exemption of the two
officers from any deductions from their civil pay in
respect of such bonuses,

arrived at to enable us to issue to the two
officers such Colonial allowance as is due to them.
