register any company which in his opinion was intended to
carry on business entirely or mainly outside the Colony, and
to strike off the register any future company which should
cense to operate substantially within the Colony. There would be an appeal to the Court in both cases. Such compani- -es could obtain incorporation in the country where their
principal place of business is situated and could then
register here under s. 252 of Ordinance No. 58 of 1911. It
is not proposed that existing companies should be affected.
I shall be obliged if the Board of
Trade would be good enough to give this Government the
benefit of their advice on the subject which may have an
Imperial as well as a Colonial significance.
