With reference to the despatches noted in the

morgin, I have the honour to inform you that the construction of the Tytam Tuk reservoir will probably be completed next

Jaffé hos performed the task entrusted to him with complete success, and has displayed much tact and ability in dealing with the Chinese contractors and in overcoming the various difficulties experienced in the course of the work.

The following works ore now in prospect:- (i) The Proya East reclamation scheme including the

removal of Morrison Hill, approved in Viscount Harcourt's despatch No. 387 of the 24th December, 1913.

(ii) Additional filter beds and service reservoir for

the Eastern District of the City.

(iii) Catchwaters in comection with the Tytam Tuk and

Intermediate Reservoirs.

After consulting with the Director of Public

Works I recommend that Mr. Jaffé should be placed in charge of the Praya East Scheme, and that later on when they are undertaken he
