approved the proposed resumption and the offer of compensation to the omers of the lot for the portion resumed at the rate of £3 per square foot on the following conditions, which have been accepted:-
(a) The area coloured red to be surrendered to Government
as Section B of Marine Lot 43 free of all obstruct- ions and formed to such levels as the Director of Public Works may require.
(b) The Crown rent of the lot to be reduced pro rata
with the reduction in area.
(c) In no case may the depth of any domestic building to be erected on the lot exceed 35 feet unless adequate lateral windows are provided.
The amount of compensation involved is about 812,500 which will not be payable till 1918. This sum will therefore be inserted in the Estimates for Public Works Extraordinary for 1918.
