Ultimatum Resolutions in respect to matter in
hand. The Executive Committee shall have power to confirm or reject, and shall instruct the Secretary to serve an Ultimatum or Ultimatums to the persons concerned providing:-
That in the event of any question or dispute affecting a 75% majority of the members in the service or services concerned, which members having duly laid the matter in dispute before the E.C. The E.C. (an ordinary Committee Meeting with a quorum) shall discuss the matter in hand, and having arrived at a decision, (for or against) shall issue a copy of said decision to each individual member of E.C. (60) and that in the event of a 75% majority (45) of the Members of E.C. being in favour of issuing an Ultimatum, the Secretary shall faithfully serve the Ultimatum and upon the prescribed day at midnight all the members concerned shall cease work after drawing all fires, (if at sea,
after the first Ring of within a porte limits). Work shall not be resumed, nor fires lighted up before receiving satisfactory orders from the Secretary to do so.
All ultimatums must provide for complete un- -prejudiced reinstatement of all Guild Members.
