the stipulation of the first alinea of this clause be
adhered to.
F. In the third instance the labourers shall be obliged to
work as many hours as shall be ordered by the Adminstrator
(provided the stipulation of the first alinea of this
clause be adhered to) end they shall perform at Isaet as
much work as will give them a right to wares equal to
those they would get if working for day ragES.
Ill. The Bataafache Petroleum Company shall give the labourers
the following wages:-

A. Consisting of:-
1.if working for daywages or at daily task during first
twelve months 52 cents (N.I.qusrenov) with yearly
inozesses os laid down in clqung VIII sect. D for each
whole workday or performed delly task, whereas for each
part of a workday during which the labourers have not
worked or for any part of a task they have not nerformed,
the wares shall be reduced proportionately. Under work-
day be understood a day, on which the labourers perform
work for the benefit of the estate, where they are
employed.
The labourers shall have a right to their cree, if when
willing to perform their work, the Administrator or hie
assistants did not avail themselves of their services.
The labourers shall have no right to wages, if they are
exempted from work at their own request.
If the labourera assist in case of fire, flood or other
calamity outside the ordinary worktime, they shall not
be entitled to a remuneration for it.
2.1f working on piecework the proportion between the
quantity of work performed by the labourers and the wagoS
paid for such work, shall not be lower than the proportior. which exists for similar work between daytask and daywares
and those wages shall be in direct proportion to the
quantity of work performed.
