In continuation of my letter of even number of
the 26th. April, 1917, I am directed to forward for the consider-
ation of the British members of your Chamber a copy of an
Interim Report on the Treatment of Exports from the United
Kingdom and British Overseas Possessions and the Conservation
of the Rescurces of the Empire during the Transitional Fertod
after the War which has been presented by Lord Balfour of
Burleigh's Committee on the Commercial and Industrial Policy.
I am to enquire whether the Chamber wishes to
bring to notice any special local circumstances in connection
with the questions of policy raised by this report.
