Sir,
I have the honour to forward for trans-
-mission to the Director of Ship Requisitioning a letter from
Mr. Lau Chu-pak, Monaging Director of the Cheong Yue Sternship Company, Limited, together with a copy of a report thereon by the
Harbour Mester.

Mr. Lau Chu-pak's letter of the 16th. March
a copy of which is enclosed in the letter transmitted, was refer-
-red to the Commodore, upon whose advice a reply was sent as in the
copy attached. I enclose also a copy of the reply sent to Mr.
Lau Chu-pak's letter of the 28th. March.
