members of the staff and I was re-called to duty notwithstanding

the fact that I was on leave.

I respectfully submit that 29 years continuous

service without any break must necessarily be a strain on any

man.

The enclosed le a statement of my past services,

I am mindful of the "Key" incident which happened in the latter

part of 1914, and having paid the penalty of that incident very

dearly

I crave His Excellency's olemency in granting me a

chance to continue in the service as heretofore.

I have my wife and 4 children to support and

what little savinge I have succeeded in making, I have

patriotically invested in the War Loan.

Since April, 1915, I have rendered service to

the Colony as a member of the Police Reserve notwithstanding

my other duties.

Trusting that His Excellency will see fit to

accept my candid admission of Guilt and the Grounds above set

forth as sufficient extenuating circumstances to warrant my acquittal and promising that I shall never again misconduct

myself.
