Essential Qualification. Candidate must be Trained and Certificated and able to teach Drawing, Singing and Needlework. University Degree an advantage, but not essential. "Botany" would be useful. Should have had experience in preparing Olasses for Oxford Preliminary, Junior and Senior Examinations. Age 23-30. Candidate who already has friends resident in the Colony preferred.
£200 rising to £220 p.a. after 3 years, if agreement renewed.
Agreement for three years from date of arrival in the Colony. Half pay on outward voyage.
$50 p.m. allowance for Quarters: but this allowance will cease on marriage. Private teaching allowed, provided it does not conflict with school duties.
