The Director of Education,
In view of the fact that Mrs. Bennett is
likely to resign, will you please consider an application for her vacant post from Miss Gladys H. Jennings B.A. who is a graduate of Durham University.
Her mukawm subjects at Final were Latin,
German, History and English Literature. Her previous examinations included French and Botany. She holds the Diploma of Teaching from Durham University and was president of the Students' Union of
Armstrong College a mixed body of three hundred. She has had
short experience in teaching in Dome Allan's High School for Girls Newcastle on Tyne. This lady was coming to Hongkong in the course of the year to be married to myself but owing to the
restrictions in force, this will not be possible unless she can
come out in this capacity. If the Government entertain this
application I should be glad to know if they will arrange for payment of passage and permission to travel.
I have ko.,
(Sd.) Lancelot Forster,
Headmaster.
