With reference to your Despatch No. 42 of the 15th. February, 1917, informing me that Mr. H. Wilson has been posted as missing under the date of 27th. July, 1916, I have the honour to inform you that Mr. Wilson's Colonial Allow- -ence has been paid to his representative up to 31st. December last. In the event of Mr. Wilson's death being presumed to date from the 27th. July, 1916, it would appear doubtful whether this payment ought not to have ceased on that date.
