Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge
the receipt of your despatch Lo. 129 of
the 21st April, and to inform you that
His Majesty will not be advised to exercise
his power of disallowance with regard to
Ordinance No. 11 of 1917 entitled "An
Ordinance to amend further the Alien
Enemies (Winding Up) Orainance, 1914".
2. I observe that section 5(e) (f)
and (g) of the Ordinance give the
Government very wide powers of dealing
with neutral property, and I assure that
the powers so conferred will not be
used without special reference to me
except for the purposes mentioned in the
Attorney General's report.
