An Ordinance to consolidate and amend the law relating to the powers of arrest possessed by revenue officers.
[16th March, 1917.]
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:---
1. This Ordinance may by cited as the Revenue Short title. Officers Power of Arrest Ordinance, 1917.

3.(1) Any revenue officer may arrest without war- Power of rant any person found or reasonably suspected of com- arrest. nitting or attempting to commit, or employing, aiding or assisting any person to commit any offence against,
or of the unlawful possession of any article liable to forfeiture under, the provisious of any enactment speci-
fied in the Second Schedule hereto.
(2) The powers conferred by this Ordinance shall be
in addition to those conferred by any other enactment.
4. It shall be lawful for the Governor in Conneil to Power to amend the Schedules hereto in any manner whatsoever. amel
