2.
The sale of the Deutsch-Asiatische Bank premises stopped on instructions received from you in your telegram dated the 29th July, 1916, and I am still awiting instructions as to the conditions to be inserted in the Conditions of Sale in order to prevent purchases on behalf of an enemy and transfer after the war to some person who is now an enemy. Your telegram of the 10th January, 1917, directed me to await your despatch of the 20th December, 1916, relating to this subject.
3.
The question of the mutual discharge of the amounts owing between the former branches of the bank at Hongkong, Singa- pore and Calcutte, and the discharge of the liabilities of the bank to the London branch of the Disconto Gesellschaft, is dealt with in your despatch of the 3rd October, 1916, which shows that laster the matter is still under consideration by you.
