Gentlemen,

With reference to the letter

from this Department of the 20th January,

I am directed by Mr.Secretary Long to

inform you that he has now received a

despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong

regarding the ahipment of cotton goods

for Rabaul, from which it appears that the

Heinrich Rudolph Wahlen Gesellschaft claim

to have paid for the 30 bales of gunnies

in question and that they have made no

arrangements to pay for the 4 bales of

none of these coods have cotton koods, which here, therefore, set

been forwardedATH.
