Kesers Paul Schiller & Co, paid us for the goods through Lloyd's Bank in London, and proceeded to await the arri- val of the basins, which they were to deliver to their
customers in Morocco.
Schiller and his Moorish friends however are still waiting for their washbasins (already paid for), and after repeated applications to the Messageries Mari- times, we heard that the goods were landed in Marseilles, and detained there for our account, by order of "superior authority". On enquiring further into this matter, which the Messageries Maritimes (having pocketed the whole freight to Casablanca) treats with enviable calm, we are told in a letter received this morning:-
