Having waited seven days since I ventured to cable you, on

the 3rd inst.. the Texas Company's request for an authoritative deniel of the Hongkong statement concerning my Company, which statement debara it from further handling that Company's business, thus allowing the Texas Company to cancel its contract with my Company, the Company asked me again for this denial or to at least elicit for it the so far unex- plained reasons of this changed attitude on the part of the Hongkong Governor, which reasons the Texas Company thinks it ought to have in jus tice to my Company and its faithful services in the interests of the Texas business.
