This will acknowledge receipt of your amfidential letter of 10th instant, regarding the above matter.
We have carefully noted contents of same, also what you write to Messrs.Reiss & Company, Hongkong in your letters Nos. 4 and 5.
We will not, at this time, comment upon the situation as pre- sented to us through the correspondence above referred to, but will ameit hearing from you.
We desire, however, to express our surprise and dissatisfaction that this matter is after all not settled, as we understood it to be af- ter Lesers. Reiss & Co., Hongkong, had oabled us that they accepted a half share of a Joint Agency Agreement, hich was before them and is our regular form of agreement, and after you had offered even better terms to their home partners, whose acquiescence in Hongkong's proposal we looked upon as a matter of course,
We will discuss this matter with out Mr.Miglietta upon his re- Surn, but are quite certain that he will not agree to the proposal of Lesars. Reiss & Co., London, and will not agree to sign any other Joint Agency Agreement but the one which Hongkong agreed to sign and which, as they state in their letter just to hand, is quite satisfactory to them.
