Do Reiss (Hongkong) really believe that they will succeed in forcing my Company - the very thought of it is indeed wicked in all the circumstances and do they expect to escape heavy and exemplary damages in oase they actually broke this clause ? The
only excuse to me for an attitude of this kind is that the war, with its demoralizing effect upon some human minds, has temporarily incapacitated these people of high integrity and reputation to dis- griminate between what is right and wrong in commercial intercourse.
At any rate, I for one am absolutely determined to rather lose with Reisa this business (which they dare not continue without us) than give way to such unfair and humiliating demands; and I feel sure that my partner kr. Jarroll will think likewise.
