I return the File received on the 22nd instant with
reference to the transfer of a balance from the Caloutta to
the Hongkong Branch of the above Bank. The India Office, in their letter of the 3th November 1915 (R. S.7207/15), gave
authority for the Liquidator of the Calcutta Branch of the
Bank to discharge the indebtedness of that Branch to the
Disconto-Gesellschaft, London, the amount being then
26,394. 6. 9.
