We enclose copies of correspondance we have received relative to forty-five bales of tyres, shipped from Marseilles per 3.3.Miyasaki Maru on the 24th July, which have been stopped at Hong Kong by the British Government as contraband of war.
We have communicated with Mesare A. Michelin et Cie, Clermont Ferrand, France, the actual exporters of the tyres, asking them to take the matter up withtheit Government, but meantime, we shall be very glad to know whether you can gi ve us any assistance in obtaining the release of these goods for our friends in Vanilla.
