I showed to Mr. Bonar Law Colonel Mark
Lookwood's letter about you, but Mr. Bonar Law has
been obliged to reply that, though he would have been
glad to meet your wishes if possible, your case has
been specially represented to the Governor of HongKong
and the Governor has replied that it is quite impossible
to allow you to be absent from the Colony after the
15th of July.
Mr. Boner Law is therefore unable to modify
the decision already conveyed to you.
