required. The scale of pay as I have informed
hin informally is at the rate of £300. 0. 0. per
annum without quarters or allowances or extras of
any kind except mail allowances for Sunday and
Holiday duty and censor's pay should he be required
to do censor's work. Serjeant Cooper is quite
prepared to accept the above terms.

Commanding? If approved I should like Serjeant Cooper
to start work as soon as possible as the Superintendent
of Mails is overworked at present.
