I am directed by Mr Secretary Bonar Law to acknowledge the receipt of your letter No.C.R.V./U/7 of the 21st Sept. relative to Messrs Vogelstein & Co. of New York, and to say Mr Bonar Law presumes that it is not intended to include Kesera Vogelstein in the Statutory List

I am to enquire whether Mr Montagu does not consider that if the consignment in question is consigned to H.M.Consul General at New York the latter might be instructed to release it on the condition that it is sold only to firms who are working for the Allies.
