With reference to my Confidential Circular despatch of the
29th April, I have the honour to inform you that, in the event of any goods
being brought into the ports of the territory under your government in transit
or landed for transhipment which are consigned to or destined for firms on
the Statutory List under the Trading with the Enemy (Extension of Powers)
Act, whether shipped from British, Allied or neutral ports, they should not
be detained, if at the date of their original shipment the consignee or firm for
whom they are destined had not been placed on the Statutory List in the
United Kingdom.
2.
You should, however, inform me by despatch of any such cases
which may arise, specifying the names of the consignors and consignees of
the goods.
