I had an opportunity of placing the letter from the Department of State of the 30th, before the Nursing Committee to-day, on the subject of the transfer of Miss Jacobs, Sister, Medical Department, Hong Kong, to a pensionable appointment elsewhere in the Colonial Service.
In reply, I am desired by the Nursing Committee to say that they consider Miss Jacobs quite a suitable candidate for one of the vacancies in the Straits Settlements or the Federated Malay States, as suggested by the Secretary of State.
