With reference to my letter 44922/10 of the 20th inst., and to your reply 22994/1916 of
the 22nd inst., on the subject of an alleged
shipment of feathers from Hongkong to Germany by
the Nordisk Fjerfabrik of Copenhagen, I am directed
by Secretary Sir E. Grey to enclose, for the
information of Mr. Secretary Bonar Law, copy of a
letter from the bead office of this Company in
Copenhagen, explaining the circumstances under
which these feathers were purchased and a
acquired for their transport to Europe.

Sir E. Grey is disposed to regard the
Company's explanation as satisfactory and does
not propose, unless Mr. Secretary Bonar Law so
desires, to take any further action in the matter.
