We today revɑrt jo your esteemed letter of the 25th November

in which you expressed to us your readiness, to do business with us

algo in reimbursements; at the same time you expressed the wish

for us to give you some idea about the estimated aggregate anount

of the transaction.

ditions prevailing in the markets or Tsingtau and Europe it cannot be

ascertained beforehand to what extent we shall succeed in arranging the

business; we therefore must confine ourselves, for the time being,

to notifying you every month or every fortnight what transactions have

been concluded. In January we were ableito contract; 6 tona apricot

kernels and 153 boxes of bristles of the value of £ 3000, against which

we instructed Messrs. Eichwede & Schroeder to draw upon your bank

for our account at shipments of the goods.

We suggest that we contime, until further noticey to regu-

larly notify you of what has been concluded. Should the value of the

documents delivered prove to be higher than is convenient to you,
