The Under Secretary of State,

Colonial Office,

sir,

Tower Building, 22, Water Street.

January 11th 1916.

Liverpool.

LODNON,

S. W.

With further reference to my letter of October 5th and your reply of october 19th lasb, I regret to have to inform you that Mr. S. A. Neville died in the Hospital of this Institition this morning after a week's illness.

In view of the suggestion conveyed in your letter that the Governor of Hong Kong would be invited to make a contribution to the Homes from the funds of the Colony I am to suggest that it would be opportune if such contribution included the cost of

Mr. Neville's funeral expenses.

I 80,

Yours faithfully,

Misects

Secretary.
