Loagement and control of the xxteision shall be in the hands of
A. C. Hospital xecutive Committee.
jr the purposes of the ixtension a suitable house, oapable of
lemodating 25 patients, shall be taken by the li, F, C. Hospital.
„xtension shall be called "The Hongkong .xtension of the 7.5.0. Hospital". This designation shall be suitably exhibited outside the entrance.
The Extension shall be equipped with 25 beds, but at the outset it /will be within the discretion of the Ixecutive Committee of the R.F.C.
Hospital to restrict admission to 20 patients.
The cost of equipment and upkeep shall be regulated in accordance with the amount of the funds made available by the longkong jar Charities Committee, through their London Representatives.
The Accounts for the cost of equipment, maintenanca and administration of the xtension shall be kept distinct from that of the wines Kospital. The method of bookkeeping employed shall follow the adopted by the King Edwards Eospital Jund.
A Kesident Dedical Officer smil be appointed to the xtension by thexecutive Committee of the ..., J. C. Eospital.
A qualified matron and the zursing and domestic staff shall be similarly appointed.
axcept for urgent persons, no member of the ixtension Staff shall be employed in the parent hospital.
Purchases of provisions, drugs, bandages, &o, intended for use in the Extension shall be made separately from these intended for use st lio. 37 Bryanston Jquare; shall be stored in the ratension and sha21 be used exclusively by it; but surgical instruments and appliances bought for the extension may be lunt temporarily to the „F.C. Hospital.
Two representatives of the Fongkong Zur Charities Committee shall be machers of the R.F.C.Hospital Axecutive Committee.
A sub-committee, to be called the Uxtension Committee', shall be formed, lt shall consist of :
a) Iwo representatives of the nongkong war charities Committee. b) Two maabers of the :xecutive Committee of the F.F.C.Hospital.
The M. U. of the Axtension.
Three members of the Committee shall fora a quorum,
the powers of the Committee shall be:-
a) as gertify as correct and recommend for payment all accounta
for articles supplied to the xtension.
b) To have the right to withhold their consent to:
ij any extraordinary expenditure being incurred for account
of the Axtension.
ii) any alteration to the adopted scheme for the Extension, c) To call for tenders for the supply of any articles required
and to recommend for acceptance by the Ixecutive Co.mittes of the 1.F.C. Hospital, such tenders as they consider sutâne factory.
d) To formulate, and to recomend to the Executive Committee of
the .7.U. Hospital for their adoption, such rules for the conduct of the Extension as they may from time to time consider desirable.
