With reference to your letter #3938/1916
dated 31st January, 1916, relative to Baroness Charlotte
von Winckler, I am comanded by the Army Council to
acquaint you, for the information of the Secretary of
State for the Colonies, that the reasons which caused
them to object to this lady being permitted to land at
Colombo apply with equal force in the case of Hong Kong,
and I am to add in the case of Singapore should any
question regarding the latter place arise.
